How to Install/Import a OneNote planner or template

Our planners or templates are distributed in a OneNote notebook packaged in a .zip file for download.

After receiving the link, download the .zip file on your PC or Mac and follow these steps depending on your OneNote version:

Installation/Import Test

Before purchasing a planner or template, do you want to be sure that you can open them in your OneNote?
Download the test notebook and follow these instructions to make sure it works for you.

OneNote 2016, 2013 or 2010 for Windows

This process will open the notebook locally on your PC.

Option 1
  1. Extract the .zip file into a folder.
  2. Double click on Open notebook file to open the notebook in OneNote.
Option 2
  1. Extract the .zip file into a folder.
  2. From OneNote, select File menu and then Open.
  3. Under Open from other locations, select the Browse option.
  4. Browse to the folder where you extract the .zip file, inside this there will be another folder with the name of the downloaded product, open this folder.
  5. Double click on Open notebook file to open the notebook in OneNote.
OneNote for Windows 10 or Mac

This process will import the notebook into your Microsoft account so that you can later search for it and open from OneNote. For this you must previously have a Microsoft account (the same one you use in your OneNote).

  1. Extract the .zip file into a folder.
  2. From a web browser, open the OneNote online importer (it will ask for your Microsoft account credentials).
  3. On the screen that opens, click Import.
  4. In your computer, browse to the folder where you extract the .zip file, inside this there will be another folder with the name of the downloaded product.
  5. Click the folder to select it, and then click Open to import it.

Done, the notebook has been imported into your account. You can now search and open it from your OneNote on your PC or Mac.
